Moblin v2.1 Release für Netbooks und Nettops

SimplyMEPIS 8.0.12 Maintenance Release

»SimplyMEPIS 8.0 utilizes a Debian Lenny stable foundation enhanced with a Long Term Support kernel, key package upgrades, and the MEPIS Assistant applications to create an up-to-date, ready to use desktop computer system.
The updated components on the SimplyMEPIS ISOs include recent updates from the Debian Lenny pool and also the security patched Linux kernel 2.6.27.37, Alsa 1.0.21 and updated drivers for aufs and NVIDIA 185.18.36. Some of the packages were updated to enable compatibility between MEPIS 8.0 and the upcoming MEPIS 8.5 which will feature KDE 4.3.«

Zenwalk Core 6.2 is ready !

»Like the plain 6.2, Zenwalk Core 6.2 is mostly new code (nearly all packages have been updated), and the base system has been slightly modified (EXT4, kernel 2.6.30.5). The switch to LZMA for package compression has reduced the overall size of the ISO image (170MB).

DEFT Linux, eine Forensik-Distribution aus Italien, ist in Version 5 erhältlich.

sidux 2009-03

Später als ursprünglich geplant, wurde sidux 2009-03 “Μώμος” mit Kernel 2.6.31 und KDE 4.3.2 in den folgenden Varianten veröffentlicht:

KDE-lite, amd64, en/ de, ≈605 MB.
KDE-lite, i686, en/ de, ≈600 MB.
KDE-full, amd64+i686, en/ de (bg, da, el, es, fr, hr, hu, it, ja, nl, pt, pt_BR, ro, ru durch liveapt) ≈2.1 GB.
XFCE, amd64, en/ de, ≈495 MB.
XFCE, i686, en/ de, ≈490 MB.

sidux ist eine umfassende, Debian sid basierte Live-CD mit besonderem Augenmerk auf Festplatteninstallationen, einem sauberen Upgradepfad innerhalb sids und zusätzlichem Hard- und Softwaresupport. Das ISO basiert vollständig auf Debian sid, angereichert und stabilisiert mit sidux-eigenen Paketen und Skripten.

Vector Linux KDE-CLASSIC 6.0 Final released

Wer KDE 3.xx weiterhin nutzen wil, nimmt Vector Linux:

ZevenOS 2.0 ist fertig

Aus der Ankündigung:

ZevenOS 2.0 basiert auf Ubuntu karmic koala (9.10). Es bringt eine vielzahl von Änderungen mit sich wie z.B. ein komplett neues Audio subsystem (pulseaudio) sowie der Wechsel von HAL zu Device-Kit, Magi-Kit ein standard programm management layer, Remaster-Kit für einfaches remastern von LiveCDs, Encode & SUPER Encode ein alles in einem multimedia Konverter Programm, MAGI 2 ein Programmstarter und Installierer sowie Konfigurationscenter. Der typische BeOS look wurde weiter verbessert mit Änderungen zur Deskbar , Icon Theme und GTK-Theme. Disk-Manager unterstützt nun die Autoerkennung von BFS(BeOS) Partitionen und erlaubt das einbinden. People der Kontaktmanager hat einen verbesserten VCard filter bekommen. ZevenOS 2.0 hat noch viele weitere Verbesserungen und Neuerungen erfahren und bleibt die beste Linux Distribution mit BeOS Touch.
